Sort newsletter pages more obvious or make it configurable

Current situation
When selecting a newsletter page for sending a newsletter, the pages are ordered by title DESC.
This can be perfect if you name your newsletter correctly.
Better situation
Either the pages should be ordered by sorting ASC, like they are ordered in the page tree, or it should be configurable how one want to order the newsletter pages.
Best situation
You can select with suggested search like the receipient selector above. :)
I'm also thinking of the "Best situation". PR are welcome :)
As it's in a repository and complex to get TypoScript data, maybe a solution with Extension Settings is good?
What do you think?
I don't know what you mean with TypoScript data.
