Chrome: instead of presented content, there is a black screen with a grid/window and controller

See attached screenshot. I would try to describe this in a better way, but tbh I have no clue where this does come from. Both phones I tested on (see below) are not Daydream compatible.

This happens when WebVR is enabled chrome://flags, when it is disabled - the content shows up correctly.

Chrome 67.0.3396.87
Tested on two devices:
1/ Android 8.1.0 on Essential PH-1
2/ Android 7.0.0 on Samsung Galaxy S6

Solved. It was related to WebVR implementation on Chrome, not the polyfill.
