It seems to me that subscribing to a hit test for automatically created hit test sources does not allow for specifying arbitrary ray - was that intentional?
Closing the issue. It was intentional, but the currently proposed approach for hit test handles transient input sources in a way that allows the application to subscribe to hit test using an arbitrary ray.
