What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open secrets pref pane and go in the tab All Secrets
2. Type in the box also a simply word like welcome and hit enter
3. Shut down and restart your MAC: the "welcome" word doesn't appear and still
show the old word
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The previous word I set and exactly "this is a stupid MAC"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mountain Lion 10.8.2

I solved using terminal.
write down in terminal:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LoginwindowText
"OSX is retard"
Replace "OSX is retard" with the word you want.
This tip is more than five (5 ) years old and in secrets doesn't work. Secret
so oblivious? Baaaaa...
I can admit for latest OS X versions but for a really old tip that doesn't work
in secrets but works perfectly in terminals it push you to trash secrets.
If a so simply tip doesn't work I let you imagine what can happen with more
hard hack... :/
