sometimes file length is very big

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set file length to 30 seconds
2. use the program
3. sometimes it makes files >30 seconds

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
see files attached... sometimes it record files >30 sec. 797mb file is 30 
minutes. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
last
windows 8 all updates
