unable to install spark with brew

brew install spark

Error: No available formula for spark
Formula's in there, so I'm pretty sure you just need to brew update first.
yo were right, although brew update failed with Error: Failure while executing: git checkout -q master, so i had to reinstall brew. but then spark got installed.
