When navigating on a pants website after it is initially loaded the avatar pics in the header, as well as in the timeline/following lists disappear. The pictures are displayed correctly only on the first request. When clicking any link after that they flash and disappear. See screenshot.
I use Firefox 31 on OSX 10.9.4.

See the description of the above commit. I'll have to follow a different approach to fixing broken images. I'm closing this ticket and opening a new one as a reminder to tackle this stuff eventually. :)
