Converting data to concrete

Any tutorial or examples about how to convert other data formats to concrete? For instance, how to convert CoNNL-U (http://universaldependencies.org/format.html) files or http://brat.nlplab.org annotations?

we're going to post some sample code used for CoNLL-X in a repository soon, which should give a java-based example of how to ingest data.
