Tweet count doesn't change after tweet.

My client just informed us that the Twitter count doesn't tally after it's shared. Can you confirm this functionality? (screen shot attached)

Awesome plugin, BTW!

Thanks!

I will check into this.

I just tried it and it is working for me...

Strange, still not working on our end. However, our vote count is hidden—could that be why?

What do you mean?

We are opting not to show the actual vote count. i.e: "Do not show number of votes" option in the contest settings. Could this by why the tweet counts are not appearing? Thank you!

Found this on the Twitter site. It looks like they do not provide a valid way to display Tweet Counts through their API? https://dev.twitter.com/discussions/5653

Sharing does not equal a vote. Is that what you are referring to?

Sorry, that is not what I meant. I think we'll just hide the share count at this point. Would love to find out if anybody else has this problem or if it is unique to us?

Is there a url I can view the contest?

I was thinking of making the social an ajax request after the load to help speed up the loading time. This should help with whatever problem is causing this. I have not had the time to add this yet but will in the future.

Thanks, you can view it here: http://swoon.dev5.webenabled.net/

Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub.

I think the problem is that Twitter is trying to just share: Are they #Swoonable? I just voted for Donna Tam to be SF’s most Swoonable reporter – cast your vote here. http://swoonablemedia.com/

That url is not unique for some reason.
