Copy Contests - Feature Request

It occurs to me that there could be multiple uses for some contests. How hard would it be to create a contest copy button within this plugin?
I will look into it. I definitely could add an import/export feature though.
This would be phenomenal. I am happy to make a contribution for such a modification....
An import/export system would not be very hard to implement. I am working on most of the feature requests but it will take time.
If you have suggestions or code for the copy feature then go for it and I will then add it in.
There is another plugin that does this, Duplicate Post. I tried it and it works well with myContest. I think this would be a better solution than adding more to myContest.
Including it would be great!

@cgilstrap After further thought and looking into it I think that it would be a better use of my time to not include it into myContest and use Duplicate Post instead since it is up to date and works great.
Right on. I just tried it with a couple of beta contests and it certainly does the trick. I think I was just hoping to add a button internal to the contest template. Regardless, good find. Now onward to social share buttons. ;]]
@cgilstrap There actually is an internal link to do this on the publish widget (check out the screenshot below).
I will get to social share buttons as fast as I can. It is the next on my list. There was a bug that two users had and I have had to almost completely re-write the entire plugin. It is working faster and better now. The version is in beta right now and I will release it as soon as I completely test it.
Right. I was using the copy button/text on the mycontest posts list. VERY helpful to have it in both spots with this plugin. Thanks for the find! Looking forward to the next version!

BTW, I am willing to make a $50 donation if it helps with the development of social button inclusion (in the vote button) & social incentives (social votes count +2). I also wanted to mention that the vote button response on IOS shows the turning wheel...but never stops unless you refresh. FYI. Maybe that could be a fix in the next update?

@cgilstrap Definitely a donation toward the development of myContest would help me be able to push the priority of myContest development, especially the features you would like added. If you want then you can have final say on these two features as well. You can donate to the development of myContest on Paypal.
I have added update notification and upgrade ability that hooks into Wordpress just like it is a wordpress.org hosted plugin. All you have to do is add your purchase code. I also added a beta testing if people want to. This is a awesome addition to myContest and will make development easier and faster for me. I am currently still testing this feature and still working on adding the other features requested. If you would like to test this beta version let me know and I will send it to you to install.
I was currently working on adding #3 but I can switch off from doing this since it is just a branch off of master (using git for dev).
I will get the spinner fixed and just replace it with a gif spinner (#24)

@cgilstrap Thanks for the donation! I started on working on adding the url system for the entries in the js file (so the shares/likes go to the entry not the contest).

I will also create a screencast with how to setup myContest to have update checks as well as some of the new features.

Kyle: My friend and I have been developing a concept for some time and we have recently begun a WP mockup of the idea. Originally we thought we'd hire an app developer..but we are now considering keeping everything on responsive WP...and using your plugin...or a derivation of it in the mix.
I'd be happy to talk to you about our concept/site partnering with higherground studios (as a portfolio piece, piecemeal work, or a smaller % of the company stake) if higherground were to be our primary WP/plugin/responsive developer.
Do you feel that a big project would help elevate your business in such a way as to make this an advantageous conversation?
Our plan is to start promoting by September if we can get the site functioning (as a responsive, functional, fun site) by then. We also plan to capitalize the site at some point, although that is a ways off until we see proof of concept...and can demonstrate competence.
Our site is already hosted on a scalable, managed host...so we're not worried about crashes. We're just worried about getting to the next level.
