The amount paid for a fractional share of Broadcom Common Stock was based on the closing price of Broadcom Common Stock as reported on the NASDAQ on November 21, 2023, which was $981.20.
eTrade sold the fraction for 904.79 but f8937 specifies 981.20.
- what consequence does "based on" have in this sentence?
- what value should be reported in 1099?
- can the delta between specified price and actual price be applied anywhere? Are brokerage errors deductible?
