The project is aimed to automate the entire domestic appliance. The Office, home appliance like TV , lamps , bulbs, fans , refrigerator , AC , washing machine etc can be turned on/off by just using and android smart phone app which get connect to your home appliance through Bluetooth connection. Using Bluetooth technology we have limited distance access to appliances.

IceMe_Android
The product is a mobile app which detects other app users around it using bluetooth. It then creates a virtual map of the other app users, their relative distance & direction. The app would also be displaying the basic profile of the user - photo,name, course major , Facebook info , LinkedIn details ( whatever he allows public access for ) More importantly, the app scans for mutual interests and presents conversation topics. The app is primarily aimed at settings like conferences, orientations where you would walk into a room full of strangers you have to network with eventually.

First, for the Bluetooth Scan project, setup the Bluetooth scan application and test its functions of how it performs scanning and collects information. When ready, conduct the scanning and record the measured RSSIs, device names, farthest estimated distance, Bluetooth packet types, PHY channel used while advertising, and check if the message was connectable. Second, for the Wi-Fi Network Analyzer experiments, setup the network analyzer app and test its functions. Then conduct the measurements and record the device’s internal and external IP addresses and gateway’s IP address, link data rate that the AP provides, PHY channel and bandwidth you are using, number of detectable Wi-Fi channel signals and the strongest and weakest signal strength detected. In addition, conduct a Ping to the gateway and record the results. Third, for the Amazon EC2 project, after setting up your AWS cloud, attempt two EC2 cloud services and see what you can do with them. In your report, explain the two EC2 cloud services you used and the results you obtained.

We have built a smart door sensing device using Arduino which can easily sense and detect a person coming near the door in certain detection distance and will ring the buzzer in the given range. Our system will also send an intruder alert to a connected mobile phone via Bluetooth, which can make the person alert that someone is there at his\her place.
