Chatlogger (or just the log) and SMS Showing Unknown instead of number

No relevant errors as this is not an error issue. However, using the log file or the chatlogger plugin, any SMS conversations in Hangouts appear to show up as "Unknown" or with a seemingly random number.

"My Name" comes up as my actual name in Hangouts.

Is there a way to pull in the SMS phone number where a Hangouts account isn't present?
