jess noticed how the words "these" and "those" only differ in one letter. the word "these" could represent the input side (i.e. entering what you like lately), and "those" as the output (i.e. looking back on what you've already added).

so imagine the above as a logo only formatted so that the "e" and "o" aren't in brackets but are stacked vertically, and you can click the e/o to toggle between the text reading "these days" and "those days."
also, the user can scale his inputs using a circle, making it bigger to represent more important things.
the end result, when the user looks back on his inputs, might look something like this
