I want to make a html5 animated gif desktop app but no license for this project means unclear copyright terms.

Is this an app you plan on selling? If not then maybe it might be cool to make and keep it under the H5BP identity and org.

That could work. My plan is for a Windows 8 App. The omggif sample app runs fine as a Windows Store App with only minor modification but I think the H5BP version looks quite sharp. I can try a fork.

Seems that Windows 8 Apps don't support drag-and-drop. Folders are on the Desktop, a separate space from an app. A Windows desktop app version of this project could work, but we can also simply save the web page to use it offline whenever we want.
