Error formatting

Hi, I'm using i3status-rs with optimus-manager, when I'm on intel GPU i3status-rs nvidia-gpu block fails (because on intel mode gpu isn't powered because i set pci_remove=yes), is there a way that i can format the errors, like
format-error = "$icon GPU powered off"
this is actually a feature sorry
