Grafana fundamentals Introduction step blocks later steps

...it says "Click and drag across the bars in the graph to filter logs based on time." However, doing so prevents subsequent steps from having any visible results.
Eventually I realised that I needed to reselect the time span from the time picker on the top bar. I noticed that the timespan previously selected on the graph was transferred here.
This was good learning for me, but with limited time to spend on this it would have been better had the step been included after 5.
