Table: Column selection search text cleared after each selection

When you want to select multiple columns containing a string, you currently have to re-enter your search term after selecting each column.
The current functionality might be nice for users that want to search for many different columns one at a time, but frustrating for users that want to select multiple.
We should also add a close icon to this search bar.
