Problems with larger youtube downloads

Hi all
I'm using gpodder portable 3.11.4-portable 1093 on windows.
there is a live stream of a German dude waiting for his brawl stars update

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E22gVCABuSk

It's about 9 hours and 5 minutes. I got a large audio .m4a file, about 600mb. But only between three and four hours of audio is available. The lenght seems to differ every time I open the file.
Well, I won't really listen to the whole thing, but I wonder why I'm only getting 4 of 9 hours. And there is the chance I'll miss out on something interesting another time ...

Also, it takes maybe 20 seconds for MPC-HC "Media Player Classic" to open the file and start playing it. Larger audio files which I download with gpodder, maybe of 30 minutes and up, take longer then usual to open.
Sometimes I have files which play immediately, others take very long until MPC starts playing. Does someone here know why this happens? I use MPC because it is pretty accessible for blind people and it displays the time position of files so I can read it while it's playing with my braille display.

Here you can find the audio file I got and my config.json file, in case there is something audio format related I should change?

thanks, your help is appreciated!

I've been getting "IncompleteRead" errors on some youtube downloads recently, mostly several hour long videos. Are you using the yt-dlp extension or gpodder's native support?

There is an "Open download folder" item when you right click an episode. When you play the file from there (outside of gpodder), does it take a while to load?

Okay, so you download with yt-dlp. The "IncompleteRead" errors I get are with gpodder's native support, but it is possible yt-dlp fails as well, and does not automatically resume the download. Search the log files for "IncompleteRead".

The CLI version doesn't play episodes, so you are already going to the folder and manually running MPC. The problem is most likely with MPC or your storage device. Do you have a delay playing files not downloaded with gpodder/yt-dlp? I doubt yt-dlp is doing anything, and turning off manage_downloads after switching to a numeric format might only cause more truncated files due to IncompleteRead errors.
