Replace dbus-python with something else

It looks like the maintainers of dbus-python are trying to get people to use some other dbus library in python, so we might also consider moving.
dbus-python is also causing minor problems in flatpak builds, it currently cannot be installed with pip and needs special handling in the build manifest.
Since we are depending on GLib and its main loop, dasbus looks like a viable and maintained option. There was also a suggestion to use jeepney in #1273.
The biggest obstacle to changing the dbus library is probably the amount of work needed to do the porting. I also do not have the time do this soon, so this is just a suggestion.
