Translation - Add in README.md Info how to contribute to translation

@auouymous

Please add in README.md the info how we can contribute to revise/update program translation.

Thanks.

I don't actually know how to update a translation, and a translator probably knows an easier way to submit a translation PR.

You already know how to do the translation and create a patch file, you just need to submit that patch as a pull request (PR). You must first fork the project by clicking the fork button near the top of https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder. You can create a branch, edit files, and submit a PR directly on your forked website, but I don't know how to upload an externally modified po file short of copy and pasting it to the web editor after clearing everything already there.

If you have git and know how to use a command line:

git clone git@github.com:bovirus/gpodder.git
cd gpodder
git checkout -b translation # create a branch called 'translation'
# use a program to edit po/it.po
git add po/it.po
git commit -m 'Update italian translation'
git push origin translation # upload 'translation' branch

The last command outputs an URL you can visit to submit the PR.

Issue #518 is where we announce new strings that need translating. Translators can subscribe to that issue to be notified.

@auouymous

Nerw PR for italòian language update

#1537

Pelase merge it.

IYTYou can add a "Translation" section in your READ.me where you can add info about

Position of language files.
Ho to make a PR to update language files.

Thanks.

@bovirus feel free to add a Translating section to README.md, pointing to this secret page.

Also a review of this doc would be welcome, if you find anything to add or clarify please open a PR on https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder.github.io. For instance I think we should write something to encourage translators to subscribe to #518.

Thanks,
