Support for target urls

Rather than using -carbon as our target flag, it would be nice to do something like -target with support for urls like carbon://. This should make it easier to add support for alternate TSDB types later on.
+1 on this.
Closing this out, given that it's been ages and I haven't done anything here. Happy to revisit down the road if needs arise.
