How to set alert/alarm volume?

I note that the volume for the alerts/alarms is significantly lower than the overall assistant volume, tried some adjustments in alsamixer, to no effect. I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust this volume, it's barely audible. I tried asking "what's your alarm volume" and the response is "the alarm volume is 70%" I followed up by telling it to set it's alarm volume to 100%, and there is an afirmative response, but when asking again, it still says alarm volume is 70%. It does seem to adjust the overall volume and reports it as 100%, but I can't seem to adjust the alarm volume.
