Syntax Error on git

When trying to install the driver I get the following:
pi@octopi:~ $ git clone https://github.com/goodtft/LCD-show.git
Cloning into 'LCD-show'...
/usr/lib/git-core/git-remote-https: 1: /usr/lib/git-core/git-remote-https: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
Any help is appreciated. I'm new to working with the Raspberry Pi, mine is the model 4. Running the latest version of OctoPi.
