3.5" RPI OS Application menu not going down

A couple of days ago I bought components to put together a makeshift portable kit, and when I was testing the screen and the drivers it turns out that the Raspberry Pi applications menu does not appear, in the same way when I open Chromium nothing appears. The only app I can open and display is the terminal (thankfully).
PD: Already tried to update the git repository and when changing to the 3.5 display, I get errors that I need to update the touch screen drivers, I'm a bit new so I don't know what to do about it.
