Is it possible to turn off or sleep a MPI3508 screen when the raspberry is turned off?

As the title says, I got a MPI3508 screen which works alright, but when I turn off the raspberry, the screen remains blue with a No signal legend. I then have to cut the power to get the screen off, so the rasp can no longer be turned on remotely.
Is there any way to get a sleep, standby or shut off functionality on this screen?
Thanks!
