MHS-35 isn't working on Kali sticky fingers

Bingus224 opened this issue · comments

I have followed the instructions and tried installing the driver several times as well as other Kali related drivers for the 3.5 inch LCD screen but it just stays white. When I run MHS-35, it reboots but then either freezes on boot (on hdmi) or it just brings up a terminal and I can't access the GUI. Please help, I have spent hours every night researching trying to make this screen work, but it just stays white!

I am running this on a pi 4b

And here is the link to the screen:https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZKMH8D4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_qy07Fb3THXBYJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Same

same here, I have also noticed that on my pi-zero kali 2022 32 bit and using the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDQVYFM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also has the same issues with frame buffers Using wget https://www.waveshare.net/w/upload/f/f9/Waveshare_fbcp.7z also does not work on the pi zero. Both drivers work with raspbian. I would say the root of the issue is something to do with how Kali works with frame buffers. the python and c code to open the display and use the demo code works on zero. I think it is more a Kali issue then the drivers. Even the TFT drivers they have will end up causing a system lockup and a need to reflash.
