Expedition save is broken, revert to normal

Last exepedition went fine, this time when i save the modified file, it converted it into a normal save file.
I just had the same issue. I edited my expedition save a few days ago and it was fine. Today, every time I save, it converts it to a normal save. Restoring the backup puts it back to Expedition Save.
I saw this as a cosmetic issue - after an edit the save showed up as normal not Expedition in the mode select screen, but once I started it and saved it (still on the Expedition) it went back to being showed as an Expedition save.
