I searched MRF/message rewrite and didn’t see this suggested yet. The Pleroma/Akkoma Simple MRF allows more control over posts from other instances, including forcing them to mark images sensitive, making all their posts followers only, removing them from the federated timeline, etc.

Motivation

Instance admins and users would all benefit as it would allow for more nuance with managing federation beyond just silencing, rejecting media, and suspending instances.
