This represents an ongoing effort to create a crosswalk to transform MARC21 records into BIBFRAME 2. The resulting crosswalk will be used in Ex Libris's Alma to enable display and export of records in BIBFRAME.
This repository consists of sample MARCXML records and one or more XSLT files. Alma enriches MARC records and transforms them with the XSLT as depicted in the figure below:
To execute the XSLT transformation there are a few options to choose from:
- On a Unix server try http://xmlsoft.org/XSLT/xsltproc2.html
- Using a programing language, for example for Java see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4604497/xslt-processing-with-java
- XML editor such as XMLSpy has built-in support for XSL transformation
- Configure the general publishing profile to enrich with linked data
- Run the Publishing Platform Job for the enriched profile
- The job output file includes BIB records with linked data
- To view the linked data, unzip the output file and check the XML content
- The Linked Data is set in
