[feature request] Show stack in PR
lsanwick opened this issue · comments
If I have a stack of changes A -> B -> C and I create PRs, there is nothing to indicate that C is part of a stack and is built on top of A and B. Would it be possible to have SPR amend the PR description with this information as well?
I'd love this too. There's other stacked landing tools I've found that do this but they have their own downsides:
- https://github.com/ezyang/ghstack is less configurable, e.g. around the branches it pushes to (probably solvable with PRs though)
- https://github.com/ejoffe/spr doesn't handle updates to commits as nicely, so it's much harder to see what changed on each iteration of a PR.
Unfortunately this project seems a bit inactive (e.g. #198 has been open for three months to fix broken links in the README), so I'm not sure when this will get addressed.
@smeenai you might be interested in: aviator-co/av#271, which I contributed to since that actually seemed like the most mature tool.
