Image format of legendgraphic in 'GeoExt.panel.Legend'

I'm searching for a way to dynamicaly set the Imageformat for a legendgraphic. Actually it seems to be default image/gif and not configurable.

Am I wrong or is the implementation for this missing?

For a GeoExt.container.WmsLegend you can overwrite the baseParams. Take a quick look here: https://github.com/geoext/geoext2/blob/master/src/GeoExt/container/WmsLegend.js#L85 or better here:

I have added a PR which fixes a broken behaviour in applying the baseParams here: #309.
Maybe someone can have a look at it.
