Big jump in negative test results

gadenbuie opened this issue · comments

I haven't seen an explanation yet for today's big jump in negative test results.

This afternoon, negatives went from 1,870 to 5,710.

Note that the dashboard has added the monitored persons in the total tested column, so it's advised to recalculate total using the desired columns.

It seems that they are now reporting the number of negative tests where multiple tests (at different facilities) may be associated with one patient/case.

The numbers in the table below represent the number of people tested. A person can be tested by more than one laboratory and can have both positive and negative results. Therefore, the sum of the numbers in each column will be larger than the total number of people tested.

12 2020-03-21 10:08:00 EDT positive 776

The positive case count is not duplicated, however.
