QtTinySA download in quarantaine by Avast

When I download QTtinySA.exe, it is placed in quarantaine by the Avast protection program, because it would have been infected by Win64.Evo-gen[Trj].
Is this true or an incorrect ??
Thanks,
Jos
Hello Jos,
Asking me whether my programme has a trojan in it is a strange thing to do, how would you know if I am telling you the truth?
All I can tell you is that I believe that it is very unlikely to have one. My Windows 11 system was built by me as a clean install from genuine Microsoft source (online download) The only user with admin rights to it is me and I very rarely use it except to apply microsoft updates, which I do fairly often and it is currently fully updated. I have no anti-virus installed other than the standard Windows Defender and I perform a full scan with that occasionally but not often.
My ClamAV (in Linux) reports the .exe is clean and I have just tried uploading it to virustotal.com which says Avast and AVG both report that same trojan, and Zillya reports 'Trojan.Agent.Script.1743184.' All the other major AV vendors report negative.
Ultimately you have to decide for yourself whether you trust it, I cannot advise. Please feel free to refer it to Github.
Best wishes
Ian
