Deletion calls with positive SVLEN

I have a merged VCF of deletion calls and some of the SV lengths are positive. Are these insertions, bad merges or is the SVLEN just reported as an absolute value? Also some of these merge DUP and DEL events, which I'm not completely sure how to interpret from a biological standpoint. This VCF of 5 samples was also filtered from a VCF of 35 samples if it makes any difference.
