We need fancy names for our releases.
I suggest we name our releases after important female computer scientists, hackers, etc.
Ada Lovelace, Grete Hermann, Grace Hopper (aber war bei der US Navy :/ ), Evelyn Boyd Granville oder Ida Rhodes. Vlt einfach https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_computing#Timeline_of_women_in_computing_worldwide oder http://geekfeminism.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_women_in_Computer_Science mal durchstöbern?
+1! Start mit Ada?
ohh großartige Idee! Dafür!
Suggestion: Kathleen She wrote the first assembly language if we can believe wikipedia.
Why not start with an 'A' (Ada!) so we can increase alphabetically like openwrt, ubuntu, ... :)
"Everybody" knows about Ada but have you heared of Kathleen Booth before? I think Kathleen is more creative and expands the horizon more than Ada.
OK, let's go for it! ;)
Maybe a good candidate for the next release: http://blog.valerieaurora.org/2014/10/03/operating-systems-war-story-how-feminism-helped-me-solve-one-of-file-systems-oldest-conundrums/
I documented "everything" in the README. I think we can close this ticket now.
Another source of inspiration http://www.srf.ch/wissen/digital/heldinnen-der-informatik
Just stumbled upon Margaret Hamilton...

Just came across the inventor of the spanning tree protocol: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radia_Perlman
