How to use $invokeObject for GUI-Control functions?

Hi,
I've seen that you introduced $invokeObject system function. As v1.1.19's feature is Add frontend script function $invokeObject to used to call GUI-Control functions. Which GUI-Control functions do you refer to? Could you please provide an example how to use this system function? I assume that should be similar for table and chart control.
