First of all good job, this is exactly what I have been looking for and its nice of you to release it for free.

One small UI change would be to let the user know that 2x1 means 2 columns and 1 row, its not clear on first glance. Also explaining what the resize value does would be nice too, people might not know to go read your blog post.
Perhaps a box on hover would suffice
