This was a bad attempt at making a pun. A switch with VLANs is neater than one without. ;)

If this post is to be believed, the v3 contains the BCM53118, not the BCM53128 that is used in v4. However, looking at the datasheet, the things seem to be the same for both chips, so the script should work for the v3 as well. However, I cannot verify that since I only have v4 switches at hand.

If you have one available and can successfully test it, I'd happily add it to list of supported versions.

Thank you very much for your reply. I also recently purchased the Netgear GS108v4 switch, but it has not been obtained because of the epidemic situation in China. I am very interested in these things you research, and thank you very much for your selfless sharing!
