Rocksmith 1 songs aren't getting exported

I don't know what's happening, but RocksmithToTab seems to export every song just fine, including custom DLC. However, it doesn't export any of the Rocksmith 1 songs, as far as I can see.

Thanks in advance!

Can you tell me what version of RocksmithToTab you are using, and on which platform?

The Rocksmith 1 songs are stored in the Rocksmith2014 folder under dlc\rs1compatibilitydisc.psarc or dlc\rs1compatibilitydlc.psarc and should be present even if you do not own them. RocksmithToTab should pick up any psarc file in that dlc subfolder, so it usually extracts rs1 songs just fine. Are you sure that no RS1 songs are exported, or is it just a specific song you are missing?

Sorry, forgot to mention those. I'm using RocksmithToTab 1.1, and on Windows.

I read what you told me, and I went to check if those files had the same name as you mentioned in your post. Turns out they didn't (they were named something like rs1compatibilitydisc_p.psarc and rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc). And when I removed the "_p", I ran RocksmithToTab again it noticed the files immediately, and tabbed a few more songs.

However, an error still came out in the end, and unfortunately I closed the window and can't seem to find a log for what it was. It was something like "ends stream with 4 bytes", I can't say for sure.
I'm still noticing missing songs, so either I have a corrupt file (although the songs work just fine ingame), or there's some bug with RocksmithToTab, I think.

The _p ending is fine, I omitted it because it differs between Mac and PC, but it should not matter either way.
It sounds as if there is a file in there (possibly a CDLC) that crashes RocksmithToTab. That could explain why it does not tab out all the songs, because it crashes before finishing everything. It could also explain why renaming the files made a difference, due to being picked up in a different order. If you can figure out which file or song specifically causes the error, I can take a look at it.

Hi, i wanna tank you so much, this is just fantastic. You did a great job, i was looking for that kind of program for a long time. I am working on mac and pretty much all the song i have, exported just fine, but something i don't understand is that i got some tab that i don't own and i don't know where they are from ex: Aching Head - Self-Destruct and many others, and i even don't know how to read it with Rocksmith. Also there is many songs that i have (CDLC) that don't want to convert. i've tried couple of things like open Rocksmith et play a song and it did work for one but not for the others. Do you have any idea what i should do to get them.

Again thank you so much for your great work.

I'm pretty sure Aching Head - Self-Destruct is a unlockable song. So you have it, just not unlocked yet :) (you have to complete "missions" to unlock them). It also seems that sometimes there are some DLCs that you don't own in the Rocksmith files, so they are also exported.

Not sure how RocksmithToTab behaves with CDLC though, never tried those.

Rocksmith 2014 contains all of the RS1 disc and DLC songs. Even though you can only access them in-game if you own them, they are physically present in the installation directory and are thus extracted by RS2Tab. So those and the bonus songs as mentioned by killergege make up for converted songs you don't technically own.

As for missing CDLC: there's always a possibility that some cause errors during conversion, but I can only investigate if you tell me specifically which CDLCs did not convert for you.

Thank's for the answer, it make sense for those wich i don't know where they are from. But for the missing ones is there a way i could convert them placing them ( my m.psarc) in another folder? i've tried and it seems that rocksmithtotab doesn't see them. Just to name a few. Hells bells acdc, highway to hell acdc, back in black acdc, you shook me Led zeppelin, communication breakdown led Zeppelin and many more.

Try turning off the incremental tab generation in the GUI options or selecting a different output directory for the tabs. I don't have any other ideas at the moment; I'm not at home, so I can't try it out myself right now.

Thanks i’ll try it
