focus cursor into password field after opening wallet file

once I select a wallet file, the password entry window becomes active, but the focus is not in the entry field, I need to click into it. I remember this having been otherwise in the past. placing the focus in the field would provide a smoother UX.
I wonder if it's reproducible in other environments or specific to mine.
