diff, failed and ref images exists even after test case passes

Even after a previously failed snapshot test is passing, the diff_*.png, failed_*.png and reference_*.png files of that test case are still present in IMAGE_DIFF_DIR directory.
Can we remove these files once the snapshot test passes? or is there any other reason why we still keeping these files?
