Job Description

As our Senior Front-End Engineer, you are tasked with the development of engaging, intuitive, and visually compelling user interfaces for our web app product. You will work in close collaboration with designers and back-end engineers, and the marketing team, transmuting design mockups, user stories, and wireframes into high-quality code, thereby ensuring an immersive and seamless user experience.

Your Journey as a Senior Front-End Engineer

  1. Our front-end ecosystem is fortified with JavaScript, React, and Material UI (MUI), while we utilize React Native for mobile front-end development.
  2. As front-end engineers, we take pride in precise design execution, valuing pixel-perfect implementation and employing Figma to maintain alignment with original designs.
  3. Collaborative work culture is our ethos.
    • Work in tandem with a cross-functional team through the development cycle, from front-end frameworks, and front-end service design to deployment.
    • Engage in code reviews to elevate your work and that of your colleagues.
    • Write clean, reusable, and testable code for easy maintenance by yourself and your fellow software engineers.
    • Partner with engineers from various teams to create user-delighting features.
    • Collaborate with our design team to understand and address user pain points.
    • Drive enhancements in engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
    • Develop new tools for internal teams.
    • Embrace ownership and accountability for your work.
  4. API integration is a critical part of your role.
    • Integrate APIs according to spec with front-end frameworks.
  5. Build, mange, and reuse UI components effectively.
    • Keep UI components organized.
    • Reuse UI component to maximize efficiency, robustness, and user experience.
  6. Troubleshooting and debugging are indispensable skills.
    • Investigate, debug, and upgrade existing software systems, including the development and integration of new components or automation pipelines as needed.
    • Address production issues across services.
  7. Engage in the regular launch of new markets, features, or products.

What You Bring

  1. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  2. Five or more years of coding experience or a similar role internship.
  3. Proficiency in web development frameworks, especially JavaScript, React, and Material UI (MUI).
  4. Experience with databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
  5. Familiarity with quality control testing using tools such as QUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, or RSpec.
