Toggle linked inputs/linked outputs

The user should be able to explicitly set which “side” of the two panes they are interested in. Currently it’s too easy to lose the current selection state by moving the mouse to the other pane. We might also want to consider “remembering” the state that was active in the previous mode when switching to the other mode, so that when they switch back they can pick up where they left off.
