Unable to handle # in links

The following link:[componente badge](http://www.getmdl.io/components/#Badges-section)is parsed to http://www.getmdl.io/components/s-section .
I tried to escape the # with # or use <...> or but i haven't found a workaround to have the link parsed correctly.
