Investigate BETWEEN query param not getting parsed

It would probably be nice to have a header or something to set DEVELOPER MODE so that incorrectly query parameters result in an error.
added setting for enabling a debug mode so we can shows errors etc (nice for developers) or try our best (nice for users); although I'm not using the setting yet
