Trying to get server features from Client

[Google Code Exporter]

I am trying to extend libjingle a little bit and I need to access the server 
features, is there any way to access them (ideally from the client)? 

What would be the best approach? I have been unable to find any method to do 
it, furthermore they seem to be removed after the login procedure is complete.
