Can I use this plugin in apps with remote assets ?

I wonder if I can use this plugin in our apps.

Our apps consists in an index.html with a script asset stored in a remote server (react app, es6)

I suspect I'd have to install the dependency in both the capacitor app and the react app.

Would it work ?
