There was also an issue where the traffic seemed to cap out at 500Mbit/s in both directions, while I would expect to see 1Gbit/s on the interface. I am not sure if this is a Wireguard or Hetzner Cloud Problem.

Should our moloch ingestion speed problems go into a separate issue?

In this context it would also make sense to look into moloch/arkime clustering to check whether we can have one Moloch node per gateway responsible for ingesting the traffic from that gateway. However, in that case we have to make sure that we do not capture the same packets twice on both involved gateways
