Chromium does not allow install when using release .crx

Shows this error, both when dragging to extensions, and when passing in the .crx as a cli argument, also tried opening with chrome, just to cover my bases
Although, the cli argument method doesn't work still, if I disabled and reenabled developer mode, it seemed to work; as always the solution was turning it off and on again.
